Scheiber Christian, M. Sc., PhD student (Mol Med.), isolates microparticles and exosomes from cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of psychiatric patients and performs the autoimmune profiling of peripheral blood samples. He is also expert in virus diagnostics using miRNA signatures from qPCR data sets and virus induced chronic inflammation in mood disorders, HSV-1 and HHV6 in ME-CFS and hemophagocytosis related to autoimmune diseases is his major focus. During his Master thesis, Christian Scheiber worked on the sensitivity of antibiotic-resistant Pseudomonas species and the lytic and lysogenic cycle by bacteriophages. He is able to do sterile work and conduct projects under S2 conditions.
